Grand Banks is a celebrated oyster bar aboard a historic wooden sailboat docked in Tribeca.

Inspired by the floating "oyster barges" that lined Manhattan's waterfront in the 18th and 19th centuries, Grand Banks features sustainably harvested oysters, nautically inspired cocktails, and awe-inspiring views.

Our Ship

Hand-built in 1942, the Sherman Zwicker is the last original saltbank fishing vessel in existence.

Sherman-Zwicker-Historic-Photo.jpeg

Once part of the proud Grand Banks fleet that fished the abundant but turbulent North Atlantic, the Sherman Zwicker traded cod and salt throughout the Americas. Today she is an exceptional and rare surviving example of traditional boat-building skills and the largest wooden vessel in New York City.
